Aviation Writing :: King Air magazine cover on The Persistent Pilot

Published by Melinda on

Rick Nutt_King Air Magazine_Aug 2014_coverI write regularly for King Air magazine but I usually don’t get a chance to interview the operators in person (I really TRIED to get them to send me to Australia for the Royal Flying Doctors article!). However, for the August issue our cover feature focused on Rick Nutt, who lives and owns a business in Wichita, Kansas. It was great to actually get to meet Rick and to see his new hangar home at the Benton Airport being built. I can’t wait to see it when it’s completely finished later this fall. If you visit Stearman Field at Benton Airport, just a few miles outside of Wichita, you certainly can’t miss his hangar — it’s right next to the restaurant.

Rick has been involved with aviation most of his life but didn’t decide to become a pilot until a few years ago. He made up for lost time and now owns three airplanes, including a King Air 200 in which he earned his multi-engine rating.

You can read the full article in the August issue of King Air magazine, published by Village Press. The publication’s audience includes owners of the more than 7,000 Beech King Air turboprop aircraft that have been delivered since 1964, as well as prospective owners.
